The Swedish Geotechnical Institute is a governmental agency and research institute. SGI has a national responsibility regarding research and development of strategies and technologies for management of contaminated sites in Sweden.
Risk assessment and remediation of PFAS contaminated soil and groundwater is at present a major area of research at SGI. SGI also develops guidance documents for management of contaminated sites, for example national guideline values for PFOS in soil and groundwater.
SGI will lead the task devoted to the development of guidelines for implementation of LIFE SOuRCE solution as well as planning and development of the dissemination activities.
