Carme Bosh from Eurecat presented results from LIFE SOuRCE’s bench scale test obtained during the preparation phase last year. Data presented included promising results from the use of resins for the separation of PFAS and their regeneration, efficiencies obtained at bench scale for the elimination of PFAS with NOVA Diamant’s Boron doped electrooxidation cell and comparison of uptake rates using different plant species (phytoextraction). Moreover, she also showed preliminary removal rates obtained from the combination of the SAFF technology and resin filter at the Spanish pilot site.
Dan Berggren from the Swedish Geotechnical Institute presented a poster with the overall project concept, including thorough description of the technologies combined in the two treatment trains and expected results and impacts.
