Laqua Treatment AB has developed products in the area of hazardous and sustainable treatment of wet wastes, using natural methods for more than 30 years. The company is today the EU market leader in this area, and in addition to manufacturing and sales, the company works very closely with the research community.

The company has developed phytoremediation technologies for remediating landfill leachate, wastewater, sludge and agri-wastes based on the plant willow. Today the company has designed and installed more than 500 hectares of willow irrigation systems worldwide to recycle wastewater, leachate water and process water.

Within the LIFE SOuRCE project, Laqua Treatment AB will design and construct the phytoremediation pilot system and prove support during the operation of this pilot at the Swedish demonstration site.
