Laqua Treatment AB has developed phytoremediation technologies for the treatment of landfill leachate, wastewater, sludge and agricultural waste, using willow-based systems. To date, Laqua Treatment AB has designed and installed more than 500 hectares of willow irrigation systems worldwide for the recycling and treatment of wastewater, leachate and process water.

Within the LIFE SOuRCE project, Laqua Treatment AB was responsible for the design and construction of the phytoremediation pilot system and provided technical support during its operation at the Swedish demonstration site.
